The Worldwide Trade Commission suggests that the investigation was prompted by a complaint from Aqua Hook up Inc and Strategic Technological innovation Partners of Orange, California. The company sued Apple in Oct of this 12 months more than choose macOS capabilities, but the Worldwide Trade Commission’s investigation seems to be broader than that.

The patent infringement, according to the ITC, relates to choose versions of the Mac, Iphone, iPad, iPod, and Apple Television set. It’s unclear which specific versions or capabilities are targets.

Apple is now less than investigation by the ITC more than Qualcomm’s allegations of patent infringement, but it seems that today’s announcement is different from that investigation.
